The fixed residential monthly service charge is $61.15. Portions of the base rate (Residential Base Rate) are used to pay for the fixed expenses of the water district. At the same time, the surcharges are transferred into separate funding accounts, which fund various projects, including equipment and infrastructure maintenance.  Planning of future upgrades and improvements to the water system are collected and transferred into separate reserve banking accounts to ensure that the funds are available when equipment fails and needs to be replaced.
